ASUS’ uber cool Rampage IV Extreme has struck another blow in the war for faster memory speeds 2700MHz. Show casing its support for faster memory speeds and stabler overclocking, the Rampage IV Extreme has also gone a long way in demonstrating how far RAM speeds can be pushed on the new Intel® X79 platform.

Following the launch of their X79-based motherboards, ASUS has bagged another accolade with their first Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) certified Socket LGA 2011 board – the P9X79 DELUXE. The board features a whopping 2400MHz RAM. The ROG Rampage IV Extreme also boasts the current X79 RAM speed record at 2700MHz.

On the 31st of June AMD invited the Guiness World Record team over to their house for a little LN2 overclocking.
