Y'all, I'm putting this up before Christmas because sadly, the last page of PCPP#173 has made liars of us all. We rejigged the production schedule which pushed all our onsale dates out by a week.
So PCPP#174 is on sale Jan 13, not Jan 6. And now without furter ado:

So obviously we tracked down and pinned down the Black Mesa boys and made them give us not only a whole bunch of interviews and insight, but also a build of the mod. Yes, it's real and yes it's awesome. Find out exactly how awesome in this issue!
The big, BIG part of PCPP#174 is of course our Game of the Decade. Fifty games selected and ranked. There's only one #1 and we're positive it will make you HOWL. So get ready!
PCPP#174 also contains our annual education special. Penned by ex-editor Timothy C Best, it's an in-depth study on what to look for in your potential games course. This will become a regular "supplement" to the mag, appearing a couple of times a year.
The rest of the mag? Well, there's a panolpy or possibly a panoply of awesome stuff, including Clive Owen, Intel Clarkdale, sheep riding on the Isle of Man, a troll costume made of cardboard boxes, hardcore nudity, Vikings, a tribute to Mystery Science Theater 3000, and a massive Total War prize pack.
January 13. In our opinion, well worth the wait.

Our disc this issue contains both the Operation Flashpoint 2 demo, and a collection of what we think were the Demos of the Decade. Not necessarily the best GAMES, but definitely the best DEMOS. Some seriously good value here - hours and hours of gameplay, and in today's enlightened age, a good opportunity to try before you drop $5 at GOG or $10 on Steam...
.THE VELDT
The Veldt this issue contains the following awesome:
1. Our new Veldt intro page, where Junglist waxes opinionated.
2. A tour of the top European LANs - these ain't your "hire a school hall and crimp a bunch of CAT5" jobs, nossir.
3. ThePhotoshop's in-depth article on the TF2 community that has grown from these here PCPP forums.
4. Junglist examines how new shoutcasting tech and sites will make gaming a spectator - and thus a REAL - sport.
5. SOGC's Johnathan Tiong explains why his LAN is awesome and how it will help SGL live again!
