Giant Barbarian dood = win
Wow, a Diablo III cover, who'da thunk it? Fresh off the plane from our trip to the Blizzard World Wide Invitational, we're stuffed with more Blizzard news than we can barely digest. Or something.
In any case, we bust out the latest on D3, StarCraft 2, and investigate the new Battle.net all in one massive feature!
Rolling on from there, since we spent so much of PCPP#155 on the road, we thought it was appropriate to take a close look at the current crop of mobiles - and not just the one that begins with a little i.

Now this is one deadly cool cover. *Cough*
Yes, yes, obviously Lich King is the big feature for this issue. How big? 10 pages big, that's how big.
But of course, as much as we all love WoW, we couldn't simply devote the entire mag to it. So, we put on our reviewing hats for a number of titles, including one you may have heard of, called Age of Conan. Can it kill the mighty WoW? You'll have to read the review to find out!
For those who aren't into hardcore titles, we have an in depth feature on the nature of casual gaming, plus a look at an old PC classic, MDK.
The WoW madness has spread to the disc, with the latest client included on the DVD, along with 2 weeks free play for newcomers.
PCPP#154. The Issue that will make you go WoW!!! (Kill me... kill me now...)

Yes, he's smoking while wearing a fishbowl helmet. And yes, that is cool
If the awesome cover wasn't enough to get you to buy the mag, here are a few other reasons why you should.
We have a massive feature on Starcraft 2, with Alan Moore heading out to Blizzard's offices to have a chat with Lead Developer Dustin Browder. We also look at the recent announcement that a fourth instalment in the Doom series will be hitting our screens. And, of course, the Top 100 is revealed to all...
Trackmania holds a place dear to our hearts, so we just had to give the latest game a spin in our Reviews section.
And there's also a massive feature on the Unity Engine, and the impact it has on games development.
Did we mention Blu-ray? We may have done, but you'll have to read PCPP#153 to be sure!

No, it's not Arnie....It's better!
The MMO world is getting ready to welcome the new boy, Age of Conan. But will it be a WoW-killer, or just another kid on the block? Our hands on preview will help shed some more light onto this huge title.
We also take a long hard look at DoW2 with a massive preview. If you want to know more about the sequel to one of the most acclaimed RTS games in recent memory, PowerPlay is the place to get it.
Reviews are as packed as always, particularly when you have titles like Kane's Wrath and Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 to get your hands on.
In tech, we review a line-up of 12 PCs. Shopping for a new system under 2 grand and want some extra info? You know where to look.
The new 9800GX2s from Nvidia also get a look-in. For the full scoop, you'll need to buy the mag, or else we'd never get our pay checks.

This is a MASSive issue! Geddit?
A cursory look at the cover will tell you that, yes, we are indeed talking about Mass Effect. The game was a hit on consoles, but will it be any good on the PC? Read our huge feature to find out!
We also have a MASSIVE review line-up this issue, with Assassin's Creed, Frontlines, and DoW Soulstorm reviewed for your reading pleasure.
Plus in tech, we have a look at the future of PhysX on Nvidia chipsets while we also check out ATI's new 3870 series of videocards. Can it challenge the juggernaut that is Nvidia?
You'll have to read on to find out!

150th Issue. 'Nuff said.
Red Alert was a great game that refused to take itself too seriously. Well, RA 3 is coming, and it's a game we DEFINITELY need to take seriously. Read on to find out why. Oh, and there's this little issue of this being the 150TH ISSUE OF PCPOWERPLAY EVAH! We thus look back on 150 issues of love, of loss, and of putting a European Air War cover instead of Half Life (we'll never hear the end of it..) We also remember the steps the industry has taken over the 12 years of this mag, and look at some of the gaming highlights. And, if that wasn't enough, we also are opening the voting for inaugural PCPP Reader Top 100. Get voting!
This is PCPowerPlay. And this is you buying it!

Back-backstabbingly good!
At last! A little late: I do apologise, though it does seem hard to pick exactly the right time. Too early and people complain, too late and they complain! Must endeavour to get it just right!

Reality begone!
Game engines: where would we be without them? Nowhere, that's where. Certainly not playing games, anyway. And that's why the January edition of PC PowerPlay is a massive tribute to the next generation of the Unreal engine. Three top games. Heaps of previewed games. And then a whole bunch more stuff about the 8800GT, which will make your Unreal experience all the more, ironically, realistic. Get into it!

Crysis and the Orange Box. Need I say more?
There is a reason for that guy being on the cover. Yes, we've got a 5 page review of Crysis ready for your perusal. Is it worth the hype?..
Plus we cover all 3 titles in the Orange Box. 3 very different games, but did they all go down just as well?
We also have a look at the nature of digital distribution, and whether it is 'better' than getting your games off the shelves.
Plus, in tech, we compile a list of the ideal gifts to give to your nearest and dearest over the Christmas season. One thing's for sure, Intel's QX9650 Quad Core CPU would make one hell of a gift for a PC gamer.
For all the games, all the tech, and all the awesome, you can't go past PCPP#146.

We brave the Red Zones to bring you this exclusive preview of the expansion to C&C3. And not only that, we tackle Team Fortress 2, review Quake Wars, spend $100,000 on a home cinema, and build the Beastie! All in the December issue of your favourite magazine! More after the jump...

Rise of the Lich King!
November comes but once a year and this year we experience a little of that Northern Hemisphere weather with the Wrath of the Lich King. He's back, and so is PCPP veteran Anthony Fordham as editor. And if that wasn't enough, we look at why Bioshock sucks, give you the demo on the DVD, and check out the future of hard drives - flash isn't just for iPod you know. More after the break!
