Boo! Did I scare you?

It was at this moment that he realised a spring clean was in order
Have you ever wanted to play a game as a ghost? Not a ghostly apparition but a full-on white sheet-looking ghost? CBE will give gamers that opportunity with their forthcoming adventure offering Ghost in the Sheet.

Players will be cast in the role of a newly minted ghost who is sent to investigate the closing of a factory, and in order to unlock its secrets they will have to unlock their paranormal powers, such as telekinesis and scary sound.

The game promises a variety of puzzles, mini games and largely non-linear gameplay as you freely explore and solve puzzles in any order you see fit.

Ghost in the Sheet is expected to be released around May this year. For more information, head on over to the official game website.

Because even evil needs some sunshine...

Somehow I don't think the pot plant did it...
The Adventure Company has announced the next title in the Agatha Christie series of adventure games, based upon the work of the famous mystery writer. This time, the game will bring to life the words of Christie's novel Evil Under the Sun.

This instalment will take place on a sunny tropical island as Detective Poirot visits a number of locales in his investigation of the murder of a famous actress. The developers have taken note of player feedback and will be including a number of features and improvements: a host of new puzzles will be on offer to test the grey matter of the most seasoned adventure gamer, while multiple dialogue options will result in intriguing plot twists depending on how the player has interacted with the game's NPCs.

Taking on the role of Hercule Poirot, players can scour a stunning tropical island for clues and delve deeper into the mysterious relationships between over 20 unique characters to search out the killer. There are a number of added features and improvements that have been made to Evil Under the Sun based on player feedback, including a more streamlined inventory system, character dialogue choices that will impact events as the player progresses in the game, less repetitive detective footwork, and more diverse environments and locales to explore.

- Official Press Release

The next investigation of Hercule Poirot will arrive this October.

Runnin' around robbin' banks

Parking in the middle of the road is not the best idea
In an official press release today, Codemasters has announced the development of a new third-person action game titled HEI$T. So why the dollar sign? Because it's all about relieving old ladies of their purses and robbing banks.

HEI$T allows gamers to become the leader of a group of renegade criminals as they rob and steal their way throughout San Francisco, all the while their sites set on the big score – the Mint. It's 1969, the summer of love in San Francisco. Enter Johnny Sutton, fresh out of jail and a descendant from a long line of big-time thieves, including his father who was gunned down during a job some years back. Playing as Johnny, and together with his Uncle Sal and reunited crew, players are set to pull off dozens of heists that will inevitably make a name for him as the greatest bank robber of all time.

- Official Press Release

While you'll spend a lot of time working towards the big score in HEI$T, you'll have to perform smaller jobs in order to purchase the correct tools to circumvent security in the large banks. These small jobs include a wide variety of locations, where you can knock over restaurants, bars, strip joints and armoured cars, all in the name of preparing your crew for the big score. With all this stealing going on, you'll also find yourself driving Bullit-style in an aim to get away from the fuzz as they will bump, ram, form barricades and do just about anything in order to catch you.

While there is not a set date for HEI$T to screech into retailers, be sure to visit the official website and sign up for more information and the first screenshots of the game.
