Will launch simultaneously in fourteen countries

"Why do they make it so hard to turn on the TV!"
GameTap has released word that Myst Online: Uru Live will hit PCs on February 15. Fear not for those of us not in Canada or the US, as the game will be made available as a direct download from the official website. While Australia has made the initial fourteen country cut, New Zealand folks will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the game.

While players can already delve into Myst through the online beta, the official release will mark the introduction of a new area and multiplayer puzzle to the game, and further new content is expected to be released on a regular basis following the initial launch period.

Visit the official website for more details.

Indie sequel on target for 2007 release

Looking for an Italian mermaid?
Following on from its predecessor, A Quiet Weekend in Capri, comes the next independent adventure title Anacapri: The Dream.

With the game in testing prior to its Q2 release, its authors Silvio and Gey Savarese have shed some light on the title. This time the game will take place in the upper regions of the Italian island known as Anacapri. It is here where players must track down the mysterious obsidian disk and unlock its secrets before it destroys the island. The game is said to carry many Myst-like qualities and the developers believe that the game will clock in with around a whopping 50 hours of gameplay.

- Gripping storyline intermingling fantasy, history and legends of the island of Capri
- Logical and intergrated puzzles
- Unique and personable characters drawn from Capri's past and present
- More than 8000 images
- Captivating animations
- 180-degrees panoramic views

Each Sam & Max episode will debut exclusively on GameTap, with Sam & Max Episode 3 "The Mole, the Mob, and the Meatball" coming next on January 25.
