Gaming with Jesus

"You sure you don't have any guns back there?"
For those of you who don't mind a videogame with a dash of religious flavour, Tribulation Knights is sure to be your second coming. This stealth-action adventure is an electronic interpretation of the Bible concerning the book of Revelations (end of days and all that jazz).

The game will put players in the shoes of a trained agent of the Tribulation Knights, whose mission is to "insure the freedom and safety of the last Christians left on the planet during the Tribulation." What is most intriguing about the game is that it boasts completely non-violent gameplay: players are given tools like slingshots to accomplish their mission goals in a non-violent manner.

Currently there is no release date attached to this unique project, and only time will tell if this religious adventure will be able to compete with the more mainstream adventure titles on the shelves. You can take a peek at the game's website here.

The Ship is ready for a free cruise

"It was Col. Mustard, in the toilet with the tennis racket"
Feeling very much in the Christmas spirit, Valve has decided to give gamers another Free Weekend event over the holiday period. This time around, players will be able to sample the multiplayer experience of The Ship.

The Ship offers players the opportunity to board an ocean liner, where they find themselves the victim of a game where they must kill a fellow passenger, or be killed themselves. Much in the vein of Cluedo, players will be able to kill their opponents in a multitude of places with a variety of different items. The large scope of The Ship can lead to some rather funny, and sometimes downright absurd, murder scenes.

The Ship will be made available for a Free Weekend trial via Steam. This free trial allows gamers to experience the innovative multiplayer gaming that Gamespot.com calls, "...off the wall and innovative." Outerlight is also offering a $5 discount for those who purchase the full product any time during the free weekend and the week that follows.

- Steam

The Ship's Free Weekend will set sail on the 22nd of December and will return to port on the 26th. Preloading has now begun, so start downloading!
