Australian bands feature in EA's street racer

Sounds as good as it looks
Apart from functional brakes, some decent music must be the most important thing as you're careening down a mountainside in a 350Z. Fortunately, EA is planning to deliver just that with the Need For Speed Carbon soundtrack.

Carbon will feature 30 tracks from a variety of international artists, including Australian bands The Presets and Wolfmother. Some highlights include:

Goldfrapp - Ride A White Horse (Serge Santiago Remix)
Ladytron - Fighting In Built Up Areas
melody. - FEEL THE RUSH (Junkie XL Remix)
The Presets - Steamworks
Tiga - Good As Gold
Wolfmother - Joker And The Thief

You'll be able to hear them with your own ears when Carbon is released in November.

More commentary, fewer bugs

A German guy will comment on this now
EA has released an updated demo for FIFA 07, adding some new features and tweaks to the soccer sim.

The updated version has international commentaries, graphics enhancements and some bug fixes. All those sound files make the new download about 200 MB larger, now weighing in at 754 MB. The rest of the content is the same as the earlier demo.

You can download it from Worthplaying, Gamers Hell, or a slightly smaller Direct X-less version from 3D Gamers.

The RACE Starts In November

SimBin ensures no shortage of sims

No fluffy dice?
The RACE website has been updated with the news that SimBin's approaching racer is due this November. Oddly, that means SimBin will have two new racing sims on the market within two months of each other, the other being the recently golden GTR 2.

Also at the RACE website are the first screenshots showing off some touring cars at the Brands Hatch and Macau circuits, as well as some sample recordings that sound an awful lot like cars.

Based on the World Touring Car Championship's sprint race format, RACE offers a shorter and quicker driving experience than GTR 2's endurance racing. More accessible car brands like Alfa Romeo and BMW also distinguish it from GTR 2's Ferraris and Lamborghinis, so SimBin's garage should cater to different tastes.
