Sign up for the Closed Beta now

Ouch!
For those of you whose interests are piqued by the upcoming MMO Fury, now is the time to take the game out for a test drive.

The crew at Auran is getting set to unleash the Closed Beta onto the public on July 6, so if you want to get involved, you only have a couple of days left to sign up.

Gone are the days of level grinding and countless hours spent wandering the barren terrain of your typical "MMO." Fury is a fast-paced, online, player versus player game that blends the speed and excitement of a First Person Shooter with familiar MMORPG combat and character advancement. From the minute you log in, Fury keeps the action flowing at breakneck speeds, never letting up and pushing you to your limits. This Closed Beta version includes 3 game types, a new Tutorial, new vendor areas, new gameplay balance and a host of bug fixes and tweaks.

This is your chance to get an edge on the competition. The Dev Team is already hard at work adding the finishing touches to the Open Beta version, where players can look forward to significant performance and graphics improvements, loads of new content and major updates to the game economy. So what are you waiting for? Fury is a game of skill, not brute force, twitch or time played – the only way you'll succeed is by mastering the game itself. Here's your chance to become a master before anyone else. Are you up to the challenge?

First look at LEGO MMO

If you build it, they will come... and knock it over!
Fans of the famous coloured bricks will be pleased to know that more info has finally surfaced on Netdevil's proposed LEGO MMO - LEGO Universe. Over the weekend, the gang from Kotaku posted the first trailer for the game on their website just minutes before it was officially presented to the gaming press.

The short concept trailer shows flashes of the proposed gameplay for the title, from character creation to building a car in the workshop. But the biggest buzz came from the Darkling segment. This short piece of footage at the end of the trailer shows a Darkling monster laying the smack down on a LEGO mini figure. According to the Kotaku blog from the Netdevil event, this piece of footage created a huge reaction from the crowd, not to mention the many posts on the Kotaku website.

The most intriguing part of the presentation is that Netdevil is calling for LEGO fans to help out with ideas for what they would like to see in LEGO Universe. So if you are a huge blockhead, head on over to the home of LEGO Universe on the web and start submitting those ideas.

A healthy dose of WTF...

You know what's mysterious? Mysteries. Like this mysterious poem that found its way into our inbox during the week. We assume it's from some developer, and contains information about a new game. More, we cannot say. Because we don't know.

Clearly, it's up to you to crack the code, and maybe even create an official thread in the Games Discussion section of the PCPP forums. Better be quick though, our scouts tell us this thing is all across the Internest. Millions of nerds will be hard at work cracking and snapping and popping and whatever. Of course, you'll need a better look at the poem, so click away to see a higher res version...

If players choose to buy the full version of the game after the trial they will still be able to keep their newly created characters. Just note that a full version of World of Warcraft must be on your computer prior to installing the Burning Crusade trial.

More information on the Burning Crusade free trial is available at the trial webpage.

Pull on your legwarmers...

"I'm too sexy for this game."
Those dance-happy publishers at Acclaim have announced that the open beta testing phase of their MMO game DANCE! Online has now kicked off, allowing gamers to strap on their dancing shoes and sample the dancing on offer in this online only title.

DANCE! Online allows thousands of players to set up their keyboards or PC compatible dancemats for some online dancing action. Players start off by creating an avatar and taking dance lessons to beef up their skills. As they progress through the levels, they are able to "battle" other dancers in the ultimate dance-off. DANCE! Online will also feature the music many of the artists from the Warner Music Group, both as part of the initial release and in "song packs" that will allow players to download and dance to some more tracks from the WMG catalogue.

In another video game industry first, Atlantic Records recording artist Cupid, with his hit single "Cupid Shuffle," will make a personal virtual appearance in the game. Other artist-related announcements will follow where the artists will create their own avatar and play the game live online and chat with fans. The game will feature some of the latest music from select artists and personalized virtual items including artist-branded clothing, accessories and more. Upon the game's full launch later this year, players can compete to win autographed merchandise and other artist-branded products.

- Official Press Release

Joining the beta testing phase is as simple as heading over to the DANCE! Online website and following the prompts to get your freak on.
