"The Donald" comes to PC

Check out the graphics on that comb over!
You've seen The Apprentice on TV, you've read about Donald Trump in Forbes, and perhaps you've even used his annoying catchphrase "you're fired!" on your mother after she burnt the weekly roast dinner. Now Legacy Interactive is banking on you taking an interest in The Apprentice: Los Angeles, the PC game tie-in to the series.

Aimed at the casual gamer, the game is scheduled for release next month and will be distributed through popular online game portals (including Legacy Interactive's own portal) as well as through retail stores.

The Apprentice: Los Angeles game will immerse players in the high-stakes business world of "The Apprentice," giving them the opportunity to compete in corporate America's toughest job interview. Timed to launch during the sixth season of the TV show, the game will feature Donald Trump, as well as both winners and key contestants from past seasons. The game will take place in iconic LA settings such as Santa Monica beach and Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The player's task is to find and serve customers as efficiently and strategically as possible, thereby earning more money than the other team.

Coming to a laptop near you...

Which story will you choose?
While The Sims have arrived on virtually every gaming format on the planet, EA has decided that our laptop lugging friends deserve a slice of the Sim pie, which culminates in the recently announced development of a new Sims product line entitled The Sims Life Stories.

Life Stories is being made with the laptop gamer in mind, featuring a control scheme that is easily used by the gamer on the go. As well as the classic Sim gameplay, Life Stories will feature a directed story mode (much like the console/handheld versions of the game) which will allow players to achieve mission goals and unlock rewards as they play out the life of their Sim creation.

Alongside Life Stories, EA has also announced another two products in this new Sim line. The Sims Pet Stories will allow gamers to take up the challenge of taking care of a pet, whilst Castaway Stories will bring a little Gilligan's Island to the game by allowing players to make a new life for themselves on an unexplored tropical paradise.

In The Sims Life Stories, play through Riley's life story as she returns home to start a new life with new friends, new experiences, and unexpected surprises. A second story lets you sort out the love life of Vince, a love-struck high-tech whiz who's been unlucky in love so far.

- The Sims 2 Online

The Sims Life Stories is set to making its debut in March 2007, with Pet Stories and Castaway Stories set to follow this Winter and next Summer respectively.
