Game consoles more hungry than PCs

This? On our consoles and PCs?!?
A Choice Magazine study has found that game consoles burn more energy than a medium-sized fridge. The magazine also suggested that computers and related products, be subject to the energy rating star system.

The average desktop PC, minus its monitor, was placed third on the list of top energy consumers.

Choice spokesman Christopher Zinn said he hoped the results of the study would be eye-opening for the public.

"While we hope no one actually leaves their games console on for a whole year 24/7, the figures are indicative of just how much electricity these small devices can chew their way through," Mr Zinn said.
