Atari has announced GTR 2 has gone gold. SimBin's driving simulation will be released in Europe (and Australia!) in October, while Blues News reports that it's already shipping to North American stores.

GTR 2 simulates all the thrills of the FIA GT racing series, offering 144 touring cars, 34 track variations, and six game events, including 24 hour races for the coffee addicts.

The Atari announcement actually lists two different release dates for Europe, but we can assume it will be released sometime between 29 September and 6 October.
