Games take their place as antiquities

"This should be in a museum"
If you find yourself in London in the next few months, be sure to stop in at the Science Museum. Running from 21 October to 25 February, the Game On exhibition will showcase the history of video games, from the PDP-1 to the Xbox.

Featuring over 100 playable games like Space Invaders and Super Mario Bros, the exhibition will examine the medium's origins, influences and cultural impact. Also on show will be game-inspired art and a backstage look at game design.

It should be an interesting show, but it's a worry that some of our favourite games have so quickly become museum pieces. Read more about them at the Game On website.
