Fans of Sid Meier's original transportation sim, Railroad Tycoon (the spiritual predecessor to Sid Meier's Railroads!) are in for a huge treat. With Railroads! carving up the tracks on PCs around the globe, 2K Games has decided to release the full version of 1990's Railroad Tycoon for free.

The paltry 15 MB download will include the full game along with the game manual and reference cards. To maximise compatibility on Windows XP systems, gamers will find the DOSbox emulator included in the download to get the game running properly.
