New Sims Expansion Announced Wed, 13 December 2006 A cash cow for all seasons
![]() "Summer lovin' happened so fast..." For the first time ever, Sims will get to experience the intense heat of summer, the immense cold of winter, and everything in between. (I wonder if it includes unpredictable random weather like Melbourne?) Along with the changes in weather, the new expansion aims to provide players with seasonal activities, although at the moment we don't actually know the full scope of what these activities will consist of. However, we do know there will be swimming pools and games of Marco Polo in the Summer, while in Winter Sims will be able to get their figure-skating on at the local ice rink... perhaps Maxis will allow our Sims to forage the forest in Autumn looking for acorns to store for the Winter? But at the end of the day, we know that the Maxis team is capable of some wacky things, so anything is possible for this expansion.
