New update structure debuts later this week

"Do you think he'll realise if we ditch him?"
Rand Miller and the devs from Cyan Worlds have announced that a new updating structure will debut in Myst Online: Uru Live later this week.

Instead of random updates, Cyan Worlds plans to introduce games updates in an "episodic" format. The idea is that all game updates for that month will be released within a single week in an effort for players to plan their schedules around the updates. The updates will include new content such as "new Ages, pages, clothing, character interaction, story revelations, artifacts and intrigue."

The debut episode will be called Scars, due to launch on May 19th, and will include the brand new Age of Minkata. To celebrate the arrival of the new chapter of the Myst saga, creator Rand Miller and a smattering of Cyan Worlds employees will take part in an in-game event. During this meet-and-greet session they will be interacting with other players, as well as taking part in a Q&A session, on May 24th at 9:00pm EST (US time) at "A Beginner's Bevin".
