Gears of War Rumour Mill Picks Up Speed Mon, 9 July 2007 E3 to provide all the answers?
![]() Are the boys gearing up for a PC release soon? Round 2 started after a gameplay video that has specifically been tagged as PC footage made its way to the internet. Kotaku states that the minute long montage shows off the "PC port's visual improvements and additional content, including new boss fights and new maps." The part of the video that really has gamers talking is that achievements were seen flashing on screen, which makes it a damn near certainty that the PC port will take advantage of the Games For Windows Live service. For those of you who don't have a X360, achievements are a set of titles that players unlock by accomplishing certain tasks during a game. While they don't provide any unlockable content, achievements are seen as a form of bragging rights between gamers. While Gears of War's eventual PC welcome was one of Epic's worst kept secrets, gamers will still have to wait and see whether it is going to happen sooner rather than later. The major question now is whether GoW PC will be Vista exclusive or not. If the pundits are on the money, we should hear more about these developments at E3.
