South Park episode gets a statue

The danger of MMOG addiction
The brilliantly-accurate "Make Love, Not Warcraft" episode of South Park has won a Creative Arts Emmy Award in the category of "Outstanding Animated Program (for Programming Less Than One Hour)".

The World of Warcraft-themed episode was up against Avatar: The Last Airbender, Robot Chicken, SpongeBob SquarePants and The Simpsons. This was the seventh time South Park has been nominated for an emmy, and the second time it's won.

"Make Love, Not Warcraft" was created in collaboration with WoW developer Blizzard and used machinima footage from the game extensively. The plot involves the South Park characters saving the World of Warcraft from a griefer named Jenkins, and the episode somehow manages to be a tribute to MMOG culture even while it lampoons it.
