Will Wright Gets BAFTA Fellowship Fri, 19 October 2007 The first game designer to get the BAFTA's highest accolade
![]() The industry's best spokesperson Wright will be the first game designer to be given the accolade, which will put him on a list alongside names like Alfred Hitchcock, Ingmar Bergman and Sir Alec Guinness.
"Will's immense, creative body of work and his continued contribution to the industry make him a most worthy recipient of the Fellowship and being such a pioneer, we are thrilled that he will be the first person to receive this honor," said Academy chairman Hilary Bevan Jones.
