A couple more pieces of Division news dropped today, concerning day one reviews, and local Australian servers.
Turns you we'll only be getting one of these things...
Ubisoft admitted that it would not be opening up the game early for reviewers, who instead will have to wait for the game's launch, and then play the game like everyone else.
"It's impossible for us to populate the servers in a way that would adequately replicate playing The Division on launch day," Ubisoft said in a blog post. Therefore, "reviewers will start playing the game along with everyone else when it's released."
While early access for reviews is often part of a game's hype cycle, in this case we support Ubi - for a game like The Division, which is all about other players and their interactions in a wide open world, writing about the game in any state other than at full population would seem disingenuous at best.
We can also get behind the news that there will be Australian servers at launch, just like during the game's beta. So, come midnight on the 8th of March, expect packed, relatively lag-free servers.
In theory, of course - this is a big, complicated launch, and there's almost certainly going to be an issue or two come twelve.
